Algorithmic Medicine Pushing the Doctors Decisions to the Side?

Pretty soon the Doctor will be spending more time reordering medications and procedures and bypassing the establishments algorithm in order to provide the basic medical care that he trained so hard to provide. Or we could just do away with the MD's and hire PA's and NP's. They, along with the newly mandated algorithm, should be enough to handle health care of the future!

This is shame. It seems like the business/profit side is running the show these days. I hope to practice medicine the way it should be practiced...one day.

Good side of that is that it might reduce mistakes in prescriptions and intersecting medications. I'm sure that with time there will be some way to make it more efficient.

Mission Statement

The PJ Doc's association serves as a medium through which MD's, DO's, DDS's, PA's, CRNA's and medical students, who are current or prior USAF Pararescuman, can remain connected and updated with professional information as well as military related news. A secondary goal of this association is to assist all Pararescueman who aspire to apply to Medical School with everything from the initial application process all the way to residency. We also welcome prior SF, SEAL and SOCOM operators who went on to become health care providers and those who are currently in the process.

We appreciate any ideas that will further its progress. Please send medically related material that would be appreciated by the people in our community.
